Chasing Rainbows New York

Chasing Rainbows marks the global premiere of Charlotte Colbert’s monumental 30’ high steel sculptures, curated by public art agency, New Public, and presented as part of the NYC DOT Art Program across Manhattan’s iconic districts, Flatiron NoMad and Meatpacking District, and presented by Simon de Pury.

Installed within open-air pedestrian plazas, the reflective works draw on archetypal symbols, dreams and surrealist imagery — inviting moments of imagination within the rhythm of the city.

“In a city that never sleeps, I hope to facilitate chance encounters through these public sculptures—small sparks of connection among strangers in the middle of everyday life. When two unknowns meet, a world of possibility opens up,” says Colbert.
